Harbor Home Cleaners is a residential cleaning company in Charleston, South Carolina. This policy covers harborhomecleaners.com and the services we book through it.

What we collect

When you book or request a quote. Our booking and quote form is run by BookingKoala, embedded on this site. Through it you give us your name, address, email, phone number, details about your home, and a payment card. Card numbers go to our payment processor, Stripe — we never see or store the full number.

When you contact us. If you call, text or email, we keep what you sent so we can answer and so we have a record of your service history.

When you just visit. We record how you found us: the referring website or search, and any advertising tags in the link you arrived on (for example a Google Ads click id, or the campaign tags in a link from an email). We store that with your first visit and keep it in your browser, so that if you book later we can tell which ad or channel brought you here.

We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information — social security numbers, health information, anything like that. Please don't send it.

Cookies and tracking

This site sets or uses:

• A first-touch attribution cookie (hhc_attr) and a matching entry in your browser's local storage, holding how you first arrived. It lasts up to 400 days and is written once — later visits don't overwrite it.
• Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking. These tell us how many people booked after clicking an ad. Google may set its own cookies; Google's handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy.
• A session-only note that you've already seen our quote pop-up, so we don't show it twice in one visit. It disappears when you close the tab.

You can clear or block all of these in your browser settings. Blocking them doesn't change the price you're quoted or stop you from booking.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for anyone else's advertising.

We share what's necessary with the companies that run parts of our business: BookingKoala (booking and scheduling), Stripe (payments), Google (advertising and analytics), EmbedSocial (the review widget on our pages), and the cleaning professionals assigned to your home, who get your address, access instructions and what the job involves.

We'll also hand over information if the law requires it.

How we use it

• To quote, schedule, clean, and charge for the work.
• To reach you about your appointments, by phone, text or email.
• To understand which advertising is worth paying for.
• To keep our own books and business records.

If we email you about offers rather than about your appointment, every one of those has an unsubscribe link.

How long we keep it

Customer and booking records stay as long as you're a customer and afterward for as long as we need them for taxes, accounting and insurance. Website analytics and attribution data are kept in aggregate.

Your choices

Email contact@harborhomecleaners.com and we will, within a reasonable time:

• Tell you what we hold about you.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete what we're not required to keep.
• Stop sending you marketing, or stop texting you.

We won't charge you for asking and we won't treat you differently for it.

Children

Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

We limit access to customer information to the people who need it to do the work, and we rely on established providers for booking and payments. No system is perfect, and we won't pretend otherwise — but we don't store card numbers, which is the thing most worth stealing.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be called out on this page.
